The firm

Wilton Property Partners builds and runs leased property portfolios for private clients, mostly investment bankers, lawyers and other senior professionals. We lease property rather than buy it, then set it up and operate it across serviced accommodation, temporary accommodation and social housing.

Every property we take on is underwritten before we sign anything: set-up cost, nightly rates, occupancy, monthly profit and payback, tested across scenarios. As the portfolio grows so does the volume of modelling and research behind it, and that is where this role sits.

The mandate

You will work on the analysis behind live properties, not case studies. The models you build inform what Wilton leases, at what rate, and what we tell a client to expect.

You report into a partner, with a weekly session to review your work line by line.

You will

  • Build cashflow models for new properties
  • Pull comparables for similar properties to support forecasts in new areas
  • Write short market notes on areas we are considering, covering demand, pricing and local housing need
  • Check and reconcile portfolio and client performance figures
  • Help prepare client materials, including fee summaries, worked examples and FAQs
  • Track monthly performance across the portfolio
  • Research competitors and how Wilton compares

You have

  • A current student or recent graduate, any subject
  • Comfort with Excel, or the appetite to get there quickly
  • Clear writing and confident communication, since your notes reach clients
  • An active LinkedIn presence
  • An interest in finance, property or business

What you get

Weekly

Sessions with a partner

Your work reviewed line by line, every week of the programme.

At the end

A final investment pitch

You present to the leadership team at the close of the 12 weeks.

After

A route to full time

We are a growing firm, and strong performers are considered for full-time roles.

The programme is unpaid, and runs around 9 hours a week for 12 weeks.

The process

There are 3 stages, usually inside 2 weeks. We review applications on a rolling basis and you will hear back either way.

  1. Online application and short video interview, about 25 minutes

We read every application in full and watch every video answer.

  2. Introductory call, 30 minutes

Your background, why this rather than something else, and an honest picture of what the 12 weeks actually involve.

  3. Modelling exercise, take-home

We give you a real property with real numbers. You build the cashflow, state your assumptions, and tell us whether you would do the deal. Then you walk us through it.

Applications are reviewed as they arrive.
